Thank you, Beth, for reminding us these jewels of Queen Alexandra. Quite fascinating, as we seem to have lost track of most of Queen Alexandra's jewels.
My curiosity is tickled by the "splendid diamond tiara with great emeralds in it" mentioned by Lady Monkswell and worn by Queen Alexandra (then Princess of Wales) in 1894 at a reception at the Foreign Office. I wonder if this emerald tiara still exists, and if so, to whom it could have be bequested or presented.
