I do not know. I only know there were a few designs to choose from. Then a bidding process. Then Mikimoto won the bid . The parure was worth 30 Million Yen at that time. The parure will be kept by the imperial household agency once the princess marries and leave the imperial family. Sad.
From the design and the price, it's very obvious it's much less precious than any European whopper tiaras.
