    I am perplexed by the photo below showing QEQM.

    I doubt if HM's earrings are the so called Crown rubies as it seems to me that the stud section does not have a dark stone, and I doubt if this is a trick of the light in the photograph as the lower section is clearly a darker stone.

    Are my eyes deceiving me? Or does the stud portion of the earring have a lighter coloured stone?

    Does anyone have any ideas?
