The latest issue of Royal Digest Quarterly has an interesting article on the marriage of Princess Charlotte (daughter of George IV) and Leopold of Saxe-Coburg. It mentions a long list of jewels given to Charlotte as wedding presents, including a diamond wreath (tiara?) of rose buds and leaves; a necklace of large brilliants with matching earrings, a pearl necklace, among others.
Does anyone know what happened to the jewels following Princess Charlotte's death? Likely they were inherited by Leopold and taken to Belgium when he became King. Has anything resembling these ever been worn by a member of the Belgian Royal Family?
