I fear that like at previous danish Jubiless no dutch (and belgian, spanish etc. ) Royals will attend as they will not be invited. For her previous Jubilees Queen Margrehe invited "only" the scandinavian Royals and Heads of State. Previous Message On the 10th and 11th of september there will be grand celebrations for HM Queen Margrethe II's Golden Jubilee. The King and Queen of Sweden have confirmed their attendance. I checked the calendar of the Dutch Sovereigns. They end their visit to the US (Texas) on the 9th so could fly on to Copenhagen to attend. Another option would be if Princess Beatrix and her youngest son Constantijn and his wife Laurentien were to attend, but considering the closeness of the King to the Danish Royals (Margrethe is his godmother) im expecting WA and Maxima to attend. I hope Queen Maxima will wear the full House Diamonds set on one of the two gala events (theatre performance on the 10th and gala dinner on the 11th) and maybe the Ornate Pearl tiara in it's grandest setting for the other event. That would leave the use of Queen Emma's diamond tiara with the stars and the full Peacock Parure for the State Visit to Sweden in early october. Looking forward to the Danish celebrations. It seems that HM will travel by carriage to the Theatre on saturday evening. Stefan

I’m sure Alexandra will be there as she has remained on good terms with the family, and no doubt will be wearing Queen Alexandrine’s droplet tiara. Does anyone know if this is a lifetime loan to her, to return to the main line eventually? Or will she pass it on to Prince Nikolai? To my knowledge it was a personal gift and not a life time loan. My guess is that it will be up for auction when it gets into the possession of her two sons. I thought it was a personal gift as well. What will happen to it once it's inherited by either Nicolai or Felix will also depend on who they marry. With both princes in the right age for several European princesses including four future Queens things might turn out a lot more positive than you suggested. Though the chance of either of them marrying Ingrid Alexandra of Norway, Elisabeth of Belgium, Catharina-Amalia of the Netherlands or Leonor of Spain are slim to non existent. She did however invite many foreign royals for her birthday celebrations but unfortunately those festivities had to be cancelled. The Golden Jubilee of Elizabeth II was also celebrated with other reigning sovereign from Europe so i have not lost hope we might see a bigger turn out in september than just the other Scandinavian monarchs and the presidents of Finland and Iceland. Currently all the Danish Counts and Countesses of Monpezat are also princes and princesses of Denmark. In future generations that may chance. I don't expect any of the Queen's grandchildren to loose their current titles by marriage. I am also hoping for a larger gathering than just the Scandinavian Heads of State based on the same assumptions. It was such a shame when the Queen had to cancel her 80th birthday which I think many of us had looked so much forward to. And she definitely deserves to be celebrated with great style and with as many representatives from the extended family from all over Europe. It would be great if it will be so. But who knows. For the time being it is with their mother and i would not be surprised if she loaned it to their future wives for the wedding day or another event Alexandra is not attending herself. Later on we will have to see what is more important, keeping a historic jewel in the family or dividing the money it brings when sold. Im not sure how well off Joachim and Alexandra are. He also has two children from his second marriage so his wealth will be divided by four. I hope the piece stays in the family and in case Nikolai and Felix feel the need to sell it, they will do so to their uncle or cousin.
