I was happy to see they placed the oldest British crown on HM's coffin in Saint Giles'. It's such a beautiful and historic crown and it is most fitting to see it part of these proceedings.
I think HM could not have chosen a better place to find piece. Her children had the privacy of their much loved summer home to get through te first few hours and days to grieve. it also gave Scotland the unique opportunity to show it's respect to HM in such a heart warming way.
It is only fitting that Britain's longest reigning sovereign gets to have the crowns of her two kingdoms on her coffin. Both in different circumstances and settings but both equally fitting and beautiful.

Yes, Johan, I agree.
The pictures of the landscapes along the trip from Balmoral along Royal Dee Side and through to Edinburgh were breathtaking.
I can see how she (and other members of the BRF) have found solace there.Cheers! Bryce
