Princess of Wales - pearl necklace at Buckingham Palace reception

Of course with strands of pearls it is nearly impossible to make an identification without seeing the clasps, but I think it highly likely that if the necklace worn by Catherine today came from the Queen then it would be the one shown below.
The photo of HM is from La Scala in 2000. This is the only time I recall seeing this particular necklace worn. There were other longer triple strands usually worn in the evening, but they were made of pearls of more uniform size, unlike this one which has pearls which are much more graduated.

The Court Jeweller claims on its twitter account, that Buckingham Palace has confirmed it are The Queen's pearls indeed.
