The bracelet is from Sibylla’s grandmother the Duchess of Albany (Princess Helen of Waldeck and Pyrmont). It was a wedding gift from the bridesmaids in 1882: Previous Message Last 28th November, the Swedish Royal House published on their social networks a few pictures of Princess Sibylla of Sweden, mother of King Carl XVI Gustaf, as a tribute on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of her death, on 28th November, 1972. https://www.instagram.com/p/ClgO_W2KN8s/?hl=fr https://ne-np.facebook.com/100044643870054/posts/675940237237433/ I was intrigued by the second picture of the set of three. On this black-and-white picture (dating probably back to the late 1960s or early 1970s, when she was Sweden's de facto First Lady), Princess Sibylla wears not only the Leuchtenberg sapphire parure, but also a bracelet with two central heart- or pear-shaped stones (I presume sapphires, due to the conjunction with the Leuchtenberg parure) topped with what looks like a diamond crown. I don't remember to have seen this bracelet on other Swedish royal ladies. Has anyone more information about this bracelet, its origins and its whereabouts? Thanks in advance!

Which one is the "Connaught Aquamarine Tiara"? I thought they only had one aquamarine tiara, the one given to Sibylla for her wedding (by Ferdinand, former tsar of Bulgaria). Previous Message Thank you, Knightship and Royal Watcher, for having solved the mystery. A pity that Princess Margaretha, Mrs Ambler (if she is the one who inherited this bracelet) never wore it. I hope this bracelet will find its way back to the main branch of the Royal Family (like the Connaught Aquamarine Tiara, which was for a long time Princess Margaretha's property, before going back to the Royal family).

the middle picture displays a rather unusual mix of jewels. Princess Sybilla is wearing the aquamarine tiara with her sapphire necklace and the sapphire bracelet from her grandmother. So light blue and dark blue stones as those sapphires are not of the pale version. Im hoping the bracelet went to princess Desiree. Her two older sisters both inherited impressive pieces from their mother and the main jewels princess Christina had were stolen a few years ago. I don't think this bracelet was mentioned. Considering that Christina most often attends events we surely would have seen it had she inherited it. I had not even thought of that. You might very well be right. For black and white photographs the difference in stones does not matter. As you are speaking about Swedish sapphire jewels… Does any of you have any information about Queen Louise’s large diamond and sapphire floral brooch? Was it created/bought for Louise? Is it a Bernadotte or Battenberg heirloom? I have a few photos of Princess Margaretha wearing it so I assume she inherited him after the late Queen. Is it still with her? Sold at auction? I wrote about Queen Louise’s Sapphire Spray Brooch, HERE, earlier this year. It was inherited by Princess Margaretha and worn by her a couple of time in the 1960s and the 1970s, but the current location is unknown though it probably still belongs to her.
