Perhaps she will wear a crimson Cap of Maintenance. It seems so many of the traditions are being updated, why not this charming one? Previous Message We now know HM will wear a crimson robe to the Abbey and leave in the purple one. That's Queen Regnant tradition rather than Queen Consort. So it's quite likely now she will wear a tiara. So here is the poll again if you wish to change your mind - as I'm doing.

That's an interesting suggestion! I've been assuming the King will wear Admiral's uniform, with hat, rather than tunic, breeches, stockings and Cap of Maintenance. (?) Terminology can be confusing. So I did not think of the Queen wearing a Cap. Worn by George VI in 1937 -
