Lovely to see Queen Sonja wearing all diamond jewels. Queen Josefina's tiara (1820) is my personal favourite in the Norwegian collection, quickly followed by Ingrid-Alexandra's Boucheron iiara. I have never been a fan of the Amethyst necklace tiara, especially in this setting and in this case. I don't understand the choice at all, even the tiny Vife tiara would have looked more elegant I think but I guess its always better than her Daisy bandeau, again. It would be nice if MM was able to borrow Princess Astrid's Vasa Tiara for a change. From what I understand its destined to return to the main line anyway. Princess Astrid's lovely as always: colourful and a bit quirky. Love her.

There were three tiaras out for the Italian president Sergio Mattarella and his daughter during the state banquet in Oslo last night.
Or maybe CP Mette-Marit could loan the Maltese Cross tiara? I can’t even remember the last time it was worn.

Queen Maud's diamond tiara has returned to the main line when Princess Ragnild died. Maud wore that tiara in two versions, one with the cluster diamonds and one with other stones on it. So if the Royal House were to invest in a few amethysts set in diamonds they could go on Maud's tiara and be combined with the other amethyst jewels into a very impressive set. With Queen Josefina's diamond tiara, the Maltese coronet, the daisy bandeau and the Vife tiara the family already has quite a number of all diamond pieces.
Im wondering if they still have Countess Estelle's pink topaz set. The set was apparently sold to the Norwegian Royal House but was never worn by anyone. With Mette-Marit's very light hair diamonds and pink topaz would look stunning on her.

I have read somewhere on Instagram that the topaz parure was also stolen and that the amethist is the replacement of it.

Thanks for the info. I had never head the topaz set was among the stolen pieces. In that case it would be wonderful to create an amethyst version of the topaz tiara. Though a complete recreation of the topaz set would be even better.

Was a list of stolen items ever published? It is really sad if the Topaz set was among it.

Sure, this piece can be reset quite easily but it will remain a typical necklace tiara. Somehow I have a feeling MM isn't keen on wearing big tiaras. I would be very surprised if we ever see her with the Emerald tiara.

Nice, they could definitely experiment a bit with the setting when it is worn as a tiara.

I find that just by removing some stones off that sides, the proportions improve! What do you think?

Surely CP Mette-Marit is not a jewelry lover like Máxima of the Netherlands, or even Mary of Denmark, but I do hope, when time comes and she will became the Consort of the King, she will wear the grand parures associated with her status as Queen of Norway. Surely in the most formal of ocasions she will wear the emerald parure, the diamonds from Queen Josephine and the pearl and the diamond tiaras from Queen Maud (I am also talking about Pss Ragnhild's tiara). The emerald tiara will look splendid on her light hair. I'm afraid perhaps the diamonds and pearls tiaras not so much.
Right, no matter what they always seem to still look like an inverted necklace on a framework. Some better than others, and some just hideous attempts such as what’s seen in the Luxembourgish court.

Personally, I would prefer if they moved some amethyst elements from the necklace to the tiara and also moved some of the "in between" drops to the sides - so it would look like the Countess of Flanders turquoise tiara/necklace
