Queen Margrethe is wearing the Pearl Poiré Tiara and the Danish Crown Pearl and Ruby Parure, Queen Sonja is in the Norwegian Emerald Parure, while Crown Princess Mary is wearing her Diamond Necklace Tiara for tonight’s Gala Dinner in Copenhagen!

Queen Margrethe is wearing the Pearl Poiré Tiara and the Danish Crown Pearl and Ruby Parure, for tonight’s Gala Dinner in Copenhagen!

These are the original earrings of the Parure, which I photographed at Rosenborg Castle in 2020.

There seems to have been a problem with Queen Margrethe's pearl necklace. She removed it and gave it to her lady-in-waiting before leaving the car, so the outdoor pictures of her are without the necklace. She put it on again when she was inside the palace.

Queen Margrethe is in desperate need of an antique ruby tiara that can match the ruby parure.

It is a a pity that they are not sharing tiaras, otherwise she could borrow the tiara from, the ruby parure from Mary.

If you watch the video here - it looks like the lock of the necklace somehow jumped open just before the Queen exited the car...

Pearl Poiré or not?

I remember seeing a video of Queen Margarethe speaking about that tiara, and she pronounced the word as "poiré". I was surprised at this, but assumed it was the way the French word "poire" is pronounced in Danish.
