Only a few days after having reached 100 Tunku Ampuan Najihah binti Almarhum Tunku Besar Burhanuddin, died peacefully this morning. She was the widow of the previous ruler (Yang di-Pertuan Besar) of Negeri Sembilan and between 1994 and 1999 she was the Queen Consort of Malaysia.
Looking at photos of her today after the news broke she had access to some magnificent jewels during her time:
During the late Queen Elizabeth's State Visit to Malaysia in 1998 the then King and Queen of Malaysia gave a glittering State Banquet:
There were only a few years apart in age of these two queens. My sympathies go to Malaysia and its people.
