No idea but I think it was worn as a bracelet by HRH Princess Lilian of Rethy. Did you know Lilian wore the pearl en diamond element as a brooch on her hat in 1959 during the wedding of the princes of Liege. Previous Message Does anyone know if this piece was possible to wear as a choker, with the pearl hanging as a pendant?

A Swedish news report from 1926 mentioned that the wedding gift tiara could be worn as a bracelet and necklace. Princess Astrid wore it for the first time to a pre-wedding gala performance at the Stockholm Opera, according to the news report. Previous Message Does anyone know if this piece was possible to wear as a choker, with the pearl hanging as a pendant?

I have believed for years that the Stockholm pearl was worn by Paola as pendant. Its base was never seen , only the pearl. Why is Princess Lilian the last wearer ?? Princess Astrid did not like the Stockholm tiara and her Wedding tiara on which she added arches. Previous Message What happend to it? Previous Message

Yes strange that nobody seems to know hat happened to the tiara. But i can understand Astrid for nor really liking it as it quiet a special piece- Her sister Märtha got a much nice tiara as a Wedding gift from the city of Stockholm. Some of the best pieces have left the BRF. The large Cartier tiara owned by Queen Elisabeth comes to mind and was a stunner. Only the base of the Nine Provinces Tiara and the small Art Deco tiara are wearable. The Stockholm tiara was a flimsy bandeau and only successful as a bracelet and brooch or pendant.
