It has been a busy few weeks in Malaysia as the newly elected King has addressed the Federal Parliament for the first time and several State Legislative Assemblies have been opened by their rulers.
When the King read the Royal Address he was accompanied by his consort who wore her nice Diamond tiara together with several State Honours:
I suspect the Queen did not wear the Malaysian State tiara due to the fact that the Installation Ceremony has not yet taken place, just like the King did not wear the Order of the Royal Family of Malaysia or any of the other Royal State regalia.
Just a few days previously the Sultan of Perak opened the Perak State Assembly. He was accompanied by his wife who wore the Diamond tiara often worn by her mother-in-law:
On 28th February the time had come to the State of Selangor and the Sultan was welcomed by military honours at the State Legislative Assembly. He was accompanied by his wife and his son and heir. The fringe tiara worn by his wife is one of my favourites when it comes to fringes as it is different but still in the fringe "style":
And finally, just a few days ago, the Sultan of Kedah was accompanied by his wife and two sons when attending the opening of the Kedah Legislative Assembly. Sitting to his left when reading the Royal Address his wife was seen wearing the imposing State tiara:
The Royal Families of Malaysia is definitely not disappointing the Royal watchers when it comes to glitter and ceremony. And hopefully we will see even more splendour when the Installation Ceremony of the new King finally takes place (hopefully) later this year.
