Queen Mary is wearing the Danish Ruby Parure, Queen Silvia is in the Leuchtenberg Sapphire Parure, and Crown Princess Victoria is in the Connaught Diamond Tiara at tonight’s Danish State Banquet at the Royal Palace of Stockholm.

Princess Sofia wore the topaz version of her Wedding Tiara and Princess Christina wore the Four-Button Tiara.

Again a Problem with the Lace of the Queen's Dress and the small version of her necklace.
Queen Ingrid always wore the Ruby parure on a better way.

I like that Queen Mary wore the “Bernadotte rubies” but as she is now The Queen of DK and this is a State visit - she really should have worn the ruby parure in its full setting.

I get her wearing the Bernadotte rubies even though i had hoped for the Swedish Pearls.
Im not a fan of the alterations made to the ruby set. Yes Queen Ingrid had it altered but i would have preferred a new base fitted to Mary's head instead of this grand reworking of the set. Yet all was done with the clear support of Queen Margrethe so i assume Queen Ingrid would also agree.

It's a shame she did not wear the full necklace, but as we have seen other queens of her generation don't wear big necklaces either.

Like you I don’t understand why she was allowed to alter such historic jewels ! The necklace looks commun now and the tiara looked much better before
