Although perhaps from a very fitting brand, the pearls are faux which is posh for fake. I am aware that for daytime engagements wearing costume jewellery is acceptable and that the late Princess Diana often combined fake and real jewellery but surely there are plenty of real pearl necklaces around the palaces the PoW can borrow? Perhaps its time for a more practical (Yikes!) arrangement regarding the use of the incredibly large collection of jewels that belonged to QE2.
