Indeed, Mr. Magnuson is wearing two Neck-ties at these formal events; the green Neck-tie of the Order of Vasa (Commander) and H.M The King's Medal, Gold 12th in Size on a Seraphim blue ribbon. These are his two Swedish honours. He was awarded the Order of Vasa before the Swedish Government decided to stop Swedish Orders being awarded to Swedish nationals. Luckily that has now changed and we might see more Swedes wear Swedish Orders to these kinds of events.
Another of King Carl XVI Gustaf's brothers-in-law, Baron Nicolas Silfverschiöld also wore the same two Neck-ties that we now see on Mr. Magnuson. And the late Prince Bertil also wore two Swedish honours around his neck (in addition to the Sash of the Order of the Seraphim); the Neck-tie of the Order of the Polar Star AND H.M. the King's Medal, only that the latter was worn on a chain instead of on a ribbon.
Mr. Magnuson was by the way not the only guest at the banquet on 19th March to wear more than one Neck-tie. The Chief of Defence General Michael Claesson, for instance, was seen wearing the Neck-tie (and Breast Star) of the Order of Dannebrog AND the Neck-tie (and Breast Star) of the Order of the White Rose.
