Yes, there is a State banquet at the Quirinal Palace, hosted by President Mattarella. But the banquet was not yesterday, but only tonight, though it is already their 3rd evening in Italy. Probably due to the fact that yesterday was initially scheduled for a State visit to the Vatican, which was cancelled only a few days ago, because of Pope Francis' poor health condition. The "Italian" part of the visit was scheduled only from today on, which is probably the reason why the State banquet takes place tonight.
The Queen did not wear any tiara, unfortunately, but she donned her beautiful turquoise necklace, along with her modern diamond earrings and with the Queen Mother's pair of diamond bracelets from the "quintet" of Art Déco bracelets:
The dress and necklace are really beautiful, but I regret that Queen Camilla did not wear her matching turquoise earrings ("en suite" with the necklace) and Queen Mary's turquoise brooch (occasionally worn by Queen Elizabeth II in her late years and by Queen Camilla since 2022), it would have made a glorious demi-parure!

Have I missed something or does the British State Visit to Italy not have a state banquet for the King and Queen?
Re: No State Banquet for Charles and Camilla in Rome?
It's going down down down with the tiara events by the BF... no tiara's at all during the coronation, no tiara's during this black tie banquet ( Norway and Netherlands y did during their statevisit to Italy in 2016 en 2017 even QE II).

Re: No State Banquet for Charles and Camilla in Rome?
It's sad to see that the owners of one of the grandest collections of royal jewels in Europe opt to use them so sparsely. I like Camilla's necklace but I don't get the combination of her jewels. The collection has multiple diamond and turquoise pieces that would have suited much better together.

I also regret the absence of tiara. Of course, the State banquet was black-tie (though a very grand-style black-tie...), but this does not exclude the possibility of tiaras (Queen Elizabeth II very often wore a tiara for black-tie occasions). And as the Queen of the United Kingdom, nobody would have blamed Camilla to wear a tiara, even while the Italian First Lady went bare headed...
Anyway, I still find that the level of pageantry and the quality of the dresses and of the jewels were well suited to a State banquet - it was much, much better than what we saw a few days ago during the State banquet of the Danish State visit to France...
I realize that Queen Camilla has now already worn most of the tiaras worn by the late Queen Elizabeth II: the Girls of Great Britain and Ireland tiara, Queen Alexandra's Kokoshnik, King George VI's Sapphire suite, the Burmese ruby tiara, the Diamond Diadem... The only two exceptions are the Vladimir Tiara (whether in its pearl or in its emerald version) and the Brazilian Aquamarine tiara, which Queen Camilla has still not worn...

Also missing is the fringe tiara which was worn by the late queen a fe times in her later years. A And of course the Lovers Knot tiara which she wore as a younger lady, but i don't think she will wear it as it is now with the Princess of Wales. I would love to see Queen Camilla in the emerald kokoshnik. I think it would suit her very good as it has a similar style as the Honeycomb tiara.

Maybe she will pick further into the collection and wear things associated with Queen Mary or QETQM that weren’t associated with the late Queen Elizabeth. Like for example the bandeau with a sapphire lozenge in the front that Queen Mary would wear to less formal events and was last seen on Princess Margaret? and how about the diamond, ruby, emerald, and sapphire bracelets that can also be worn as a bandeau? We also have the diamond brooch tiara that The Duchess of Sussex wore only once, and the emerald tiara worn by Princess Eugenie. There’s also a diamond lozenge tiara by Cartier that Queen Mary wore and was also last seen on Princess Margaret.

The diamond lozenge tiara was sold by Princess Margaret and is now owned by the former Queen of Malaysia The art decO bracelets are already worn by her as bracelets I would like bery muich to see the sunray sapphire bandeau oout. Thios wopuld also perfect for such a State Banquet like in Italy or France as it is not so big.
