The Tiara of the Lady Mayoress of the City of London

Earlier this week, we had the delight of being invited to Mansion House by  the incumbent Lady Mayoress of the City of London to view her heirloom Pearl and Diamond Tiara. The Lady Mayoress is borrowing this magnificent Tiara from her godmother, Lady Rumbold, and it originates from the prominent Tennant Family.

Congratulations on the exciting discovery! It's always so much more interesting to know a little bit more about a stunning piece of jewellery like this instead of just registering it as yet another "Diamond and Pearl tiara". Very nice indeed!. Edwardian period I suppose. Many thanks. Is it just me or is the tiara in need of a thorough cleaning? Looks like the stones and pearls are set in silver and gold.
