I just saw on the Royal Forums a 27 minutes live about it . really Stunning !
She gave to Prince Michael her Fringe and Festoon tiara.
Pictures showed Princess Marina and later Princess Michael with Romanov jewels , as a brooch and 3 big poire pearls, and Duchess of Argyll jewels Princes Michael managed to transform them in different perfect ways such as the necklace she wore at her Son's on Wedding. Princess Michael wears a Duchess of Windsor brooch. Why did Princess Marina not give her ancestral jewels to Princess Alexandra. the Duke of Kent had to sell a tiara from his part of jewels to pay taxes and Prince Michael kept his part. Thanks for your help MO
Yes, Alexandra has had to make do all these decades with her floral parure which, admittedly, is highly adaptable with pearls, sapphires, or turquoises.

Alexandra also wore the pearl circle-style tiara, which I don't recall anyone else wearing.
The duke and duchess of Kent lost a lot of money from the Lloyd's of London crash in the 1990s. I think it was the reason for selling so much and not taxes (Coppins, part of the Cambridge sapphire parure, etc.).
From what I have read before, Princess Marina was following the tradition that the bulk of her jewels was going to her sons, and that it was the responsibility of her daughter`s husband to provide Alexandra with a jewel collection, so she gave her some pieces but not that much compared to what her sons got.

It’s often said that princess Marina was following royal tradition in not giving her daughter much jewellery but this is contradicted by her mother receiving a huge inheritance from GD Vladimir. Edward ViI daughters received their fair share on Alexandra’s death and Princess Mary did pretty well too.
It's said to be a Greek tradition to leave most of the jewels to the sons and expect the daughters to marry a man who will provide jewels for her. Marina's parents only had three girls so they did inherit their mother's collection.
