Am I the only one who thinks the Queen is trying to send a signal by wearing this particular tiara?
The last person to wear the Greville emerald tiara was one of the York daughters - the Palace clearly knows this - and out of all the tiaras the Queen chooses to wear this?
To me that clearly signals that the Queen is thinking of the York girls - and that they are not forgotten...
What do you think? is it a pure coincidence that this tiara was worn?
Eugenie was the last and only one from the RF to wear it. I think it is good to see it again as it is too beautiful to gather dust in the Vaults, which it did for over 70 years.

I think the bigger message she’s sending is her family order, proudly wearing that of her beloved spouse and NOT of her deceased mother-in-law. It’s like she’s saying that what THE KING says and does now is what’s important, not what The late Queen might have said and done. And wearing a tiara that never got any use, except for The Queen’s granddaughter, is her saying “I may wear whatever I like from the vaults, at any time, at any event. For my husband is The King and all this belongs to him, and he put it at my disposal.”

Interesting that you see it that way.
I prefer what we believed was the way by QEII, which was not about herself. She considered the person she passed items to,
And Queen Victoria's bar brooch to hold the Garter sash in place. We don't see it very often.

Since we don't know for certain that there is a message conveyed by the Queen through her choice of jewels maybe we should not read too much into it. For instance on the subject of the York girls wearing the same tiara that Princess Eugenie wore at her wedding could indeed show support to the York princesses. But it could just as easily be a sign of quite the opposite. And it is not the first time that the Queen has chosen to only wear the King's Family Order. And she is not unique in that respect as Queen Sonja only wears King Harald's portrait unlike her sister-in-law Princess Astrid, who wears the portraits of her grandfather and her father as well as her brother. Same with Queen Mary of Denmark. As for the Bar brooch of Queen Victoria... it seems like the Queen has found out that it is rather useful to pin down the Sash of her Order, so I would not be surprised if we see this worn more often in the future. It was a shame that the Princess of Wales was unable to attend, but her absence is understandable. But there were two other bejewelled ladies present; two of Queen Camilla's "companions" were present and they wore their most impressive tiaras.

Perhaps to mark the end of all the York privileges.... But seriously. The tiara is Charles' property and Camilla can wear whatever she wants. It was a one time loan to Eugenie for her wedding. People read way too much into this.

Stunning on her. If she's wearing it again I would suggest to the Court Jeweller to alter the support frame a bit to avoid seeing the metal too much in Camilla's thin hair.
Mrs greville was Godmother of Rosalind Cubitt, Camilla's Mother. I agree , Eugenie wore much better the tiara , its base as unseen.

I agree, it looks a bit off on her. I almost get the idea from her dress and other jewels she had not intended to wear this tiara but for some reason this was the only piece available so she put it on. Had the hairdresser known she was wearing this tiara the hair should have covered more of the base.

I think it is an odd choice..
I would have thought it would be only Eugenie who would wear it.
If there is a signal I cannot guess at what that might be.
