Queen Camilla is in the Belgian Sapphire Tiara, the Princess of Wales is in Queen Mary’s Lover’s Knot Tiara, Princess Anne is in Princess Andrew’s Meander Tiara and the Duchess of Gloucester is wearing the Iveagh Tiara at tonight’s Nigerian Banquet!

Queen Camilla wore the Belgian Sapphire Tiara and her Diamond Serpent Necklace with King George VI Sapphire Earrings and the Queen Mother's Cartier Bracelets

The Princess of Wales wore Queen Mary’s Lover’s Knot Tiara and the Queen Mother’s Sapphire Fringe Earrings

The Princess Royal wore Princess Andrew’s Meander Tiara, Queen Mary’s City of London Choker, and her Diamond Bow Brooch

The Duchess of Gloucester wore the Iveagh Tiara, Queen Mary's Pearl Fringe Necklace and Art Deco Brooches.

Is it the 1st time Princess Anne wore the Queen Mary's City of London choker?

Looks like the Duchess of Gloucester has on her left wrist some kind of sapphire and diamond bracelet and two different bracelets on her right wrist. Do you know what they are? I don't recall a picture of the Duchess wearing Queen Mary's Pearl Fringe necklace before.

Thank you Royal Watcher. This is a better display of jewels than I have seen the British ladies wear for some time.

Queen Camilla is not wearing her Garter star, which I think is a bad mistake.

The Princess of Wales really should give up wearing loose hair on grand and state occasions.

Bravo to the Princess Royal for wearing that wonderful choker.

And the Duchess of Gloucester wears the Iveagh, which I would be very happy to have! It suits all occasions.
And she wears at least a dozen jewelled items. Who else could carry that off?

Correction

Camilla does have her Garter star, but it is at the waist (horrible) and too far left being on the side.

Again the sapphire tiara... there are so much tiara for Camilla... we would love to see more variation.

Catherine.... boring boring boring.... If you have the jewels.. wear them. Would love to see also necklaces

The two senior royal women were rather boring in their choice of jewels tonight.
So, no garter sash for the Queen, is it optional whether to wear it or not?
No family order from QEII worn by the Queen or Princess of Wales, I wonder why.

It would be nice if Catherine (and Letizia, Maxima,...) would stop wearing their long hair down with a tiara. It makes them look a bit too girlish for their age and thats not a good thing IMHO. I understand that Catherine is proud of her hairlocks but the overal look is disappointing. On the other hand: Princess Anne with that stunning chocker and delicate Greek Key Tiara is just fabulous!

Catherine seems to have got an allergy against necklaces as she hasn't won on for State Dinners since 2019 i believe.
Unfortunately she has also infected Queen Mary who also hasn't worn one of the mayor Danish necklaces since becoming Queen (except the emerald one for the official pics)

Thank you for the fantastic photos! Some nice jewelry surprises last night.

The belgian saphire tiara suits the Queen very well, and she seems to like it very much and feels confortable wearing it, but like other posters said we would love to see her wearing more tiaras from the collection. I am sure the rubi tiara would look amazing on HM, also the rubi circlet that the Pss of Wales wore I believe would suit the Queen best.

A question: I beleive its the first time (?) the Queen is wearing the saphire earrings from the George VI set. Has Her Majesty pierced her ears? Or were the earrings adapted for non pierced earrings?

The Princess Royal looked wonderful wearing Queen Mary's pearl and diamond London choker! I am not sure I'd seen her wearing it before or in recent years.

The Princess of Wales sadly chose to wear her hair down again... No necklace, no brooch... Lovely to see her always, but she can do better with the jewels at her disposal.

My 12 points go to the Duchess of Gloucester, as usual. She never fails. Is it a bracelet she wore with the pearl version only of QMary's fringe necklace?

Its the first time i see a picture of the Duchess wearing the fringe necklace like this, I actually had no ideia the turquoise drops could be removed. Such a beautiful and delicate jewel, I love it!

The princess royal's jewels are lovely as is her elegant, updated formal coat. Its tailored style "suits" her, in my opinion, far better than many styles of gown. Duchess of Gloucester is always impeccable and tastefully shows off multiple jewels (as she should!). P of W never falls short of elegant but I agree this hairstyle at a formal event can look medieval - - veering toward night-gownish.

I suspect it has something to do with the design of the evening dresses chosen by these royal ladies. As a result there's no opportunity for wearing a necklace. Its a worrying trend as also Letizia tends to shun necklaces.. Luckily we still have the Norwegian, Swedish and Dutch royals... and last but not least: Queen Camilla who does not shy away from a heavy diamond studded necklace now and then.

Mmh I actually think the fringe necklace draped over the border of the Duchess' dress was not a success. Also the combination with the diamond rivière - although reminiscent of Queen Mary - doesn t work here. Only a diamond rivière would have been enough IMHO. The tiara is one of the best out there. I wonder what will happen with Queen Mary's jewels. The descendants of the Gloucesters (and Kents for that matter) won t have much use for them in the future.

The main branch of the Kents don't have much left of the impressive jewel-collection they inherited.
Prince Michael of Kent's inheritance of two tiara's, a diamond necklace and some earrings and brooches is still fairly intact. I guess those pieces will end up in auction once his children have to pay inheritance tax.
