Astrid is the only princess not to receive a tiara from her family. She and her family are also closest to Queen Paola and King Albert. Astrid has been called the person who saved her parents marriage. Laurent and Claire don't need any big jewels. Claire has enough for the few events she attends. I think what Jurg tried to say with that is that it's most unlikely that Princess Louise of Belgium's marriage will put her in a situation where she'll be in need of grand jewels regularly. She is most likely to marry a well to do commoner and live her life as a private individual. I started this thread because Coosemans did Princess Josephine Charlotte Wedding tiara and now the Eleonore new tiara. I spoke about the unkown heirloom of Queen Paola . I am upset about speculations concerning Princess Louise future Wedding which are out of topic in this Board. Dear Hans , I saw pictures of Queen Mathilde's Mother at the Wedding of her Daughter Elisabeth with Markgrave Alfonso Pallavicini.She wore her necklace again. Her necklace seems an old family frail necklace, it seems but I am not sure that some small pieces are missing. To frail to be worn as tiara. A Brooch at Mathilde Wedding maybe ? That necklaces needs a proper cleaning and rhodium plating. Looks pretty convertible.
