No tiaras for certain. Previous Message …. if King Haakon chooses to have a Consecration. I doubt Queen Mette-Marie would wear a tiara, I think she would go bare-headed. A cloth kokoshnik would be a copy of Queen Sonja but maybe she wants to keep that as a tradition. But bareheaded is my guess, with her hair perhaps dressed in a way it won’t get disturbed when the Bishop lays his hands. If she DID wear a tiara, which I doubt, I can imagine the diamond daisies as that tiara is so modest.

Could Kongetro or someone else give more informations about the Chain and the Blue Sash . Does only the King wear this Order. They were near the Royal Coffin 4 Orders. On the right the Norvegian Orders and on the left two Orders in light Blue ?? Previous Message No tiaras for certain. Previous Message …. if King Haakon chooses to have a Consecration. I hope she will opt for the Maltese coronet that would be fairly light but still very regal. But i fear you're right and there will not be any tiara's at the consecration. A pity Mette-Marit could not attend the swearing in ceremony. I was surprised to see that Queen Sonja and Prince Sverre Magnus did attend. I had only expected Haakon and Ingrid Alexandra. I totally agree. There haven't been worn tiaras in the past and they definitely won't start wearing them now (if there is a Consecration ceremony at all). Now, in the case of the Consecration of King Harald V and Queen Sonja there was a white-tie dinner the day before. So we might, just might, see a tiara or two in Trondheim the day before this time around too, though I fear it is highly unlikely. Previous Message No tiaras for certain. One of the very few times the Collar of the Order of St. Olav is worn these days... which I just think is so sad. I wish we got to see that more often, like the case with the Order of the Seraphim in Sweden. It is not worn for every State Banquet there either, but at least it is used more often. I think it's a shame Norway abolished the coronation and wearing the crown. I love the pomp and circumstance. Greetings from. They are a nuclear family. Fairly logical they move together. And from now on they will all have to pitch in to support Haakon. I fear MM won t be available full time for royal engagements / duties. any time soon if ever. I doubt it will be a full gala event with all the trimmings. That would require MM and IA to set an example by wearing significant tiaras. I don t foresee MM wearing the Emerald Tiara, ever. The Maltese Tiara? Nope. Most likely candidate the diamond tiara... although Astrid's Turkoise Parure would look good on MM ... For now I don t see many options to be frank. Somehow I think MM will leave the position of most senior royal lady to Ingrid Alexandra. Previous Message I totally agree. I think you’re right John, I foresee her quietly taking a minor role if at all, due to her unpredictable health. IA will be First Lady, which I think weighs heavily on her already based on her serious countenance. Now she has to attend university AND attend events when possible, with Sverre going away for university himself. Previous Message I doubt it will be a full gala event with all the trimmings.
