Nice if the band goes in this direction but they are still covers of other artists. Surely Carlos can create his own original Afro Cuban instrumentals, riffs. The last time I saw Carlos in Vegas the "new" conga player was adequate in keeping up with Karl and the conga solos were fast and average. I do not think Karl can do all of the percussion needed in a live setting. I hope the horn section stays home. I still do not grasp the "averageness" of the keyboardist, rhythm guitarist and Benny's musical "direction". I haven't even bothered to learn the names, my bad. The other day I listened to Armando and Leon Ndugu Chanceler from the Amigos release, it was heavenly. I think I have become one the "living in the past" fans listening with high expectations and eternal hope.
