Impossible to only quote 2 or 3.
I would definitely choose Savor, Soul sacrifice, I love you much too much, Hannibal and Tales of Kilimandjaro. These are the sound of Santana to me, unfortunately too pop nowadays with no more homogeneity from the band...
I recently met a nice lady, she's a music lover and we talk music a lot. Although she doesn't dislike Latin music, she full well knows who Carlos is but "never really got into Santana" because she just never heard most of his music. So, I thought it would be cool to get opinions - if you could choose only two songs that would (a) demonstrate the musical power and rhythmic force of the band, and (b) showcase Carlos' unmistakable passion and ability that's help to make him into the legend he is. Your picks can be from any era, thanks, all suggestions will be considered, and if (a) is a three song medley, that's OK too. I hope all the Moonflower Cafe friends will respond.
