My picks are...
James Stewart: Mr. Smith Goes to Washington (But just about anything is worthy of being on the list.)
John Wayne: The Searchers (And that was a hard decision to come to.)
Cary Grant: Bringing Up Baby (If we exclude comedy, then North by Northwest. I just had to get that in there.)
Katharine Hepburn:The Philadelphia Story (This is too hard. Who's idea was this again?)
Gregory Peck: To Kill a Mockingbird
Gary Cooper: Beau Geste (High Noon needs an honorable mention.)
Ingrid Bergman: Casablanci and Gaslight. (I refuse to choose.)
Henry Fonda: 12 Angry Men
Carole Lombard: To Be or Not to Be
