After seeing the sorry lot of cartoons they have for kids on TV today, I bought the box set of classic WB Looney Tunes for my granddaughter and I to watch. Of course I wasn't expecting to enjoy them as much as I did in my childhood, but something was different and I couldn't put my finger on it; they just didn't look like I remembered them. Then it dawned on me- they'd been digitally restored, removing all the grain and scratches, plus, they were in color! We didn't get a color TV until I was way past watching Looney Tunes.
