Same here. In college I was sick and missed registration. English Comp was full. The only thing open was a Critiquing Movies class - I kid you not.
We watched classic movies on the big screen on campus, then critiqued them. This film, The Grapes of Wrath, MASH, Citizen Kane, Dirty Harry(!), to name a few.

They made us watch The Seventh Seal a second time because the audience roared with laughter the first time. Including me.
The second viewing - I didn't blink, and thought it was a masterpiece. Go figure!
Thank heavens for that class. It's where my love of movies really began. All because I was sick.
