Well, I've seen all 3 seasons now, and I give it a hearty thumbs up. With reservations.
I find that any episodes about Emmett, Mike, or Aunt Bee the least favorite, sometimes irritating.
I would have preferred a great character actor to take over and keep the barbershop. The addition of Alice Ghostley was a welcome move.

Episodes with stories concerning Howard, Goober, or Millie are quite enjoyable.

There is an episode concering Goober in the 1st season titled 'New Couple In Town', that was so well-written & executed (and unpredictable)I gave it a standing ovation.
I won't give it away. You gotta see it. It's about a big-city writer moving to Mayberry.

I hope metv's showing will boost seasons 2 & 3 getting released on dvd. I'm guessing the episodes on tv are edited.
