Merry Christmas, Virg!

The Man Who Came To Dinner has been my favorite outside my regular lineup. It is a fine film. Not necessarily a Christmas film, but neither is It's A Wonderful Life if you think about it.

Still, it's fun and sparkling, with nary a false or unneeded scene. Bette Davis is sultry without lifting a finger. Monty Woolley is wonderfully acerbic.
