The Mayberry Grand: The Intruder (1975)

Here is some interesting news I came across. Evidently there was a horror film made in 1975, called "The Intruder" but it was shelved by its production company and has never been seen by the public or released in ANY form.

Wikipedia states:
"Its plot follows a group of people who are stalked on an island by a killer while searching for gold."

The most interesting thing is that it stars such notables as Mickey Rooney, Yvonne DeCarlo & Ted Cassidy (Lurch).

From a "Horror Society" article online...

"The film was buried in the past until 2012, when film collector and Garagehouse Pictures owner, Harry Guerro, discovered the film among piles of rotting 35mm film prints in a desert storage facility. Chris Robinson, who had long since given up hope the film would ever be found, was stunned upon learning of its recovery and the film’s long-overdue release was planned."

Sure sounds interesting. I may have to splurge and check it out! It is to be released on Blu-ray August 1st, 2017.
