Gentlemen, Is the 1984 Christmas Carol version the one with George C. Scott? I have that on DVD and really like it. I also have the one with Alastair Sim. And this year I finally got the one with Reginald Owen on DVD. I love that classic.

I was watching the bonus features on my IAWL DVD. Some very interesting stuff about the production of the movie. And I agree Virgil, the smacking around of a young George Bailey was pretty harsh. I also am surprised in the scene when Donna Reed yells up to her Mom that George Bailey is making violent love to her. Obvious that term today is different from back then.

One of my traditions for New Years Eve is to watch "The Sting" with Paul Newman and Robert Redford. I'm not sure how that tradition came to be, but I rather enjoy that movie. Either one of you very familiar with it?
