I never did like films heavy on "stock footage" or when a sequel to a film is made and they re-use large chunks of footage from the original.
On a somewhat amusing note to that, back when I was a kid it used to confuse the heck out of me when I would watch many of the Three Stooges short subjects and I would see two shorts, one original and a remake with old stock footage from the first. Until I really became a Three Stooges super fan and knew the shorts inside and out, I always thought the broadcast networks were cutting out scenes to shorten the time slot among other things. On example would be the short "Hold That Lion" (1947), remade as "Booty And The Beast" (1953). In the Shemp and Joe years, so many Stooges shorts were re-hashes of originals. I would think a particular scene would be coming up and it wouldn't be in there and such! Messed with my mind!
"Divorce, Mountain Style" does have an odd eeriness to it! I think it is the background track that makes it strange. "Done is done!, the proceedin's are in the ground!"
