The Mayberry Grand: Voodoo Island (1957)

So, I was looking at Karloff's filmography to see what else I had not seen and came across Voodoo Island (1957).

I watched it and oh man, what a bore. I did not care for this film at all. I was bored too death even at only a 77 minute film. Walking and talking, walking and talking, swat a few flies while hacking around on an island and nothing much at all happens for 55 minutes!! After that we get a few cheesy man-eating plants and a few voodoo dolls all taking place in broad daylight and then its over.

I just didn't see anything of content to take home here. Karloff didn't really seem to have any good scenes or meat to work with. He basically just talked his way through the whole film as a common guy. Nothing sinister or mysterious.
