I try to watch every episode of a particular series, something I knew I had not done through the years.
I just finished MAUDE. I always really liked the theme song and recalled seeing a few episodes, knowing it was a Norman Lear show I wanted to check out in full. My overall feel? I liked it. I thought it had some really good actors and characters. I really liked Conrad Bain, Bill Macy was good, the character of Ms. Naugatuck was hilarious! Andrienne Barbeau always seemed under used. Rue McClanahan was a hoot! Funny stuff!
Perhaps my favorite episode was the one on NEW YEARS EVE.
Now I am watching "CHICO AND THE MAN". I have always been drawn to this show due to the death of young Freddy Prinze. I always wonder why? He had so much going for him and he was a really funny guy. Jack Albertson grows on you also. Only about 5 episodes in. Not sure they had enough supporting characters on this show to really flesh it out though. I always find the garage setting to be a little odd, how all of the cars just pull right into the garage to get gas?...and service?...just right off the street, lol!
Did you ever watch this show, Al?
It is pretty much a forgotten series now. It also has a really endearing and memorable theme.
