My dad would give me a dollar to go to the movies and it was the exact amount needed. 50¢ admission, 25¢ for popcorn, 15¢ for drink and 10¢ for a candy bar. The only problem was there was a penny tax on each item which left me short on the candy bar. I dare not ask him for three more pennies. I did once and he about had a spell, "I just gave you a dollar! Never enough, never enough with you!" So I'd have to go hunt up a couple of deposit bottles to redeem at the store.
