I do agree that the W motif for his civilian clothing is a good idea and a nice touch. I mean it makes sense he would put that into his regular clothing since he has no secret identity and could go into action on a moments notice like the Fantastic Four. Plus he is a celebrity and lots of them have their own clothing line, so it would be cool if he has his own line of clothing from Janet Van Dyneís company.
As far as his long hair and trench coat look, I absolutely love it, but at this point I donít think it fits with Simonís current status in the Marvel Universe. I mean the guy is a celebrity on top of being an Avenger so he doesnít really have any reason to look dark and brooding at this point unless his brother shows up and murders some of his friends with a scythe. Then I could see him needing clothes to show his new darker outlook on life.
I think one of the looks I enjoyed the most, but was rarely used was Simon wearing a short version of his red jacket over his classic tank top costume. It was on top of the message board a while back when Simon visited his then dead brotherís grave. As long as Simon is the only one in the jacket it looks good, but I hate when entire teams adopt that look like the X-Men and Avengers did in the 90s. Suddenly everyone had trench coats or flight jackets. Itís like all of them went shopping at the same clothing outlet.
In all seriousness, as long as they donít jam him into the Christmas Tree/Green Rocketeer uniform again, Iíll be happy with whatever Wonder Man wears.
