Personally I’m bummed out that Ms Marvel isn’t selling more because before Secret Invasion the stories were great and during it Carol has been kicking major ass against the Skrulls. Besides Avengers: The Intitiative I think Ms Marvel has been one of the best Avengers related titles going that’s been involved in the Secret Invasion crossover.
I think the main mistake made in the book was not only moving Wonder Man out of the series but also removing Machine Man and the rest of the team Carol was in charge of. The whole team Carol commanded was awesome and with Machine Man the book had some genuine laugh out loud moments.
But getting back to it, I really hope they do something to keep Simon and Carol’s romance going or give it some closure if nothing’s going to be done with it. I hope that when the Scarlet Witch eventually returns to the mainstream Marvel books that Simon is there when it happens. I still kind of hope that they somehow get back together, but if they don’t I’d love to see Simon with a regular human being again rather than a super hero or mutant.
Personally I think someone will snatch up Wonder Man and put him to good use in one or more of the Avengers related titles. The character has remained pretty popular among readers and has been making more cameos in other books since Mighty Avengers started so I think things look good for his future, though how a new writer will handle him is another thing entirely. Still, I remain hopeful. :D
