: I agree Simon didn't come off bad, A
: was also having its doubts plus the whole
: future situation makes Simon's fears all the
: more acurate. As I understand Simon was the
: last member Captain America was waiting for
: and the solicits say that another member
: will join the group so this more edgy Simon
: looks like the perfect addition, the guy
: that is not afraid to go against the entire
: team by himself. In a way Bendis is going
: back to Simon's roots with this story, he
: was the guy created to go against the entire
: team singlehandedly, just like Nefaria has
: done in the past.

: Other than his last comment(which was a
: little
: ominous), I don't think Simon came off bad
: at all. Nothing wrong with someone thinking
: putting the Avengers back together could be
: a bad idea. Who knows, maybe for some
: reason, Wondy knows more about what's to
: come than we think.
:
: As for the whole issue...I have to admit I
: liked it. Not a big fan of Bendis'
: Avengers(Althought I did love the "Dark
: Avengers".), but this issue had an
: "old school" feel to it. Hope it
: keeps up, as does Wonder Man's appearences.

: Hey gang - what did everybody think of
: yesterday's Avengers number 1? Tough to see
: Simon take the hardline but as you guys have
: mentioned maybe it is the start of a new
: direction for him.

: Lets hope something good comes of this. I would like to see him in the Avengers of course, but am sick of his jobbing status. It would be nice if he could act as a sort of moral compass. I like the ionic glow around him, and would like to see him show some of the abilities he used in his series. It adds depth to him and is entirely appropriate to an energy based character. BTW, the art in Avengers 1 absolutely sucks!
