As for Red Hulk, he may have incredible strength but his fighting skills are those of Thunderbolt Ross, who has been a geriatric military desk jockey for decades. Simon clearly remembered a few things from those years of training with Cap (although from someone who knows a few things about choking people out, the artist should learn what an effective choke hold looks like!)

: I would like wonderman to be part of a team
: and be the heavy hitter... A team of Beast,
: Wondy, Hawkeye and Wanda and mix in another
: female hero and let Wondy be the power of
: the team.

: I have mixed feelings....
:
: first I am very happy for Wonderman return
: in such a fantastic way... but in the other
: hand, I have fear, because I haven't heard
: anything of him in Marvel NOW! I have two
: theories:
:
: the bad one
: 1. When Axel said that WonderMan should join
: a big team, maybe he was referring to the
: final issues of Bendis in Avengers and not
: Marvel NOW!, if this is true, maybe our
: beloved Wondy will be lost again in limbo
: when the Bendis run is gone, (hopefully not
: killed)
:
: the good one
: 2. Maybe Axel was refering actually a big
: team for Marvel NOW! and it is just a team
: we haven't heard of (Brevoort said also that
: not all the new titles have been announced,
: so there is still hope) or maybe Wondy has a
: place in Uncanny Avengers and we haven't
: heard anything because they don't want to
: spoil the surprise.... Bevoort also said
: that Pym will be in a new book, so hopefully
: some of the missing avengers will join Wondy
: in a new team, What about Jan, Hank, Vision,
: WarMachine and Wondy making a new WCA?? you
: can always dream.....
:
: What do you think??

: Then your grandma must be Galactus! lol
: Seriously, considering Red Hulk was b###h
: slapping back and forth the real Hulk for
: awhile (not to mention Thor when he guest
: star.) in Hulk's regular series this shows
: immense respect for Wonder Man.

: The submission move against Rhulk was an
: unexpected extra. But it does makes a lot of
: sense that an indestructible guy like Wondy
: would go for an all open fighting style like
: that plus makes him look all the more
: confident and fearless.

: Its funny that he used Sgt Slaughter's Cobra
: Clutch.
:
: As a long time wrestling fan, my first
: thought was, "That's the Cobra
: Clutch!" Then I saw someone on the
: Avengers Board say the same thing.
:
: It's funny how one great showing, as small
: as it was, really boosted Simon's rep. He
: got a lot of props on the Battle Board for
: that showing! It's like we always said: all
: it takes is one good writer, who is willing
: to take a chance with Wonder Man, to make
: him relevant again. It's not the character
: that's lame, it's the way he's been written.
:
:
: Nice to see a Wondy win, but my gran could
: handle Red Hulk
:
:
: And she has been dead for 20 years!!!
:
:
: Seriously, I always like to see a hulk clone
: defeated, and it shows some love for Simon.
: Nice to see a new power with his teleporting
: as well. Would be nice to see some other
: energy manipulation stunts as well....
:
:
:
:
:
:
:
:
:
: If Wondy is to be in a new team, then I
: would like him to be with the Beast,
: Hawkeye, Wanda and, frankly most anyone
: except the Vision who I would be happy to
: see on a scarp heap.......
:
:
:
: Would need some more power and options
: with them...how about an Eternal like Thena
: or Sersi and maybe some one in armour..War
: Machine ???
:
: Yep Wondy, Beast, Hawkeye, Wanda, Sersi,
: Warmachine...different and funky
