Shaeffer, for example, has been off-loaded to India. And they don't make the proprietary cartridge converters.
Cross used to offer lifetime replacement on all their pens and pencils. Now, of course, they are no longer made in US. And their warranty is only good for a few years. And they don't do repairs.
These are just two examples of the fancy pens we often use. How long does anyone think we have a right to expect warranty, or reliable and affordable replacement parts and repair service for pens that cost $100, $200, $500? Is two years adequate? Five years? Twenty years?
I'm looking for opinions from other folks who appreciate these writing instruments. Thanks for any comments.
