The jewels have passed on to Charles, not Camilla and apparently - and not surprisingly - he has given his wife FULL access to the jewels he now owns. Should Charles or his courtiers have given the insensitively wicked Queen a list of items too closely associated with his Mummy? Seriously! Let's enjoy the fact that this magnificent collection is being worn. Who knows for how long. Previous Message Jewels are meant to be worn. How long do Queen Elizabeth’s pieces need to “cool down” before someone else can wear them? Queen Alexandra wore Queen Victoria’s small crown immediately for her first Parliament. How much of this is about Queen Elizabeth’s memory? or is it just that Camilla is wearing the pieces? I’m pretty sure I’ve read people saying they hope the iconic pieces are seen again with Catherine. Previous Message If, indeed, the rules have changed about "resting" a piece that was closely associated with someone from the past, which formerly unseen pieces might we hope to see worn?
