This all raises my old concerns about the true story of Queen Victoria's Regal Circlet.
I shall have to revisit all my notes and perhaps start a new thread.
--Previous Message-- : The thing I don't understand is why Queen : Alexandra would have a copy made of the : Regal Circlet if she already had exclusive : use of it as queen. I think we need detailed : pictures of Queen Alexandra wearing the : piece in question to compare with a detailed : picture of Queen Maud wearing the piece in : question before we can say for sure they are : the same piece. I think it is more likely : that Queen Maud had the piece made to : reassemble the Regal Circlet to remind her : of her British roots. Also if the piece is : the one worn by Queen Alexandra what : happened to the fleur-de-lies. : : Laurence : : : : : --Previous Message-- : You can read more info on Trond's site who : got : his information from Princess Astrid: : : : : http://trondni.blogspot.com/2011/04/royal-jewels-queen-mauds-maltese-cross.html : : Read the comments below where Trond says his : book about Princess Astrid contains all the : info about the tiaras. : : To sum up, this is no longer speculation but : a matter of fact. : : : --Previous Message-- : : Has it ever been proved that the maltese : tiara was from Queen Alexandra? : Speculation only I thought. : : : : :
