From a purely technical point of view I think we've misinterpreted something along the way here. "En tremblant" settings are not just pendants that move with the nod and bow of a head etc, but are specifically designed settings that afix the mounting of the stone or an element of the jewel in it's entirity to the main body of the jewel by a means that causes the setting to wobble and bounce in place, a spring or tensioned wire, not just a loop and bail arrangment. All the pictures I've seen so far in this thread are simply suspended drops... this is not "En tremblant" I've attempted to post a link to a picture that clearly shows from the rear an en tremblant setting, on the right hand side element, there's a coiled spring that causes the whole element to scintillate.
