I like the double-tiara-wedding as well. But I suspect that one reason for the tiara change was the white tie ball in the evening, when the mother of the bride wore the Isenburg tiara. It would have been a shame if she had to appear tiara-less. The problem won't exist in Luxembourg, as they usually go for morning weddings without white-tie receptions. (Sigh)
