If my information is correct, Pricess Maria Phillippa of Bavaria will get married to Christian Dienst on Saturday next week, May 12th. The bride is daughter of Prince Leopold of Bavaria and Princess Ursula, née Möhlenkamp.
Of course I’m hoping to see a tiara on the bride. Their branch of the family has one diamond tiara which is worn by Princess Ursula from time to time. Princess Anna, sister-in-law of the bride, also wore it once at the V&D wedding in Stockholm.
Ok, it is not the most beautiful tiara to the 21st century’s eye, but it is said to be an heirloom from the last Bavarian Queen, Marie-Therese. It might look quite nice with a fluffy tulle veil...
Does anybody here know more about the history of this tiara? And did Princess Ursula wear it on her wedding day herself?
