    The dress is similar in silhouette to that of Catherine Middleton's (shaped bodice, fuller skirt, lace overlay with long sleeves . . .)
    There do seem to be trends (the "meringues" of the 80s, the jacket look of the 90s, the coat-dress of the 00s as with Mathilde and Letizia).
