Yes. I read those notes, but since the image of the Pearl Stomacher features at one point, taken from Queen Mary's Jewellery Inventory, I was unsure whether such an attribution would be 100%.

Thus I have actually sent off a series of questions that have arisen from my reading and own research. To try clarify any confusion that has arisen in the reading of Roberts.

What is of note about the picture you have posted Nellie, is that Queen Mary wears he Cambridge Pearl Brooch above the stomacher (with the drop detached) and the drop is then attached to the bottom of the stomacher. Showing indeed that it can be worn with or without the drop pearl.

: Even though Queen Mary's pearl stomacher is
: not featured in the book, the foot notes on
: the page for the Lover's Knot Tiara give
: it's history. The stomacher originally
: belonged to Princess Mary, Duchess of
: Gloucester. In her will she left it to her
: niece Princess Mary Adelaide, Duchess of
: Teck. It is unclear if Queen Mary inherited
: it from her mother, or acquired it some
: other way. Six of the drop pearls were
: borrowed for use in The Lover's Knot Tiara,
: and were apparently returned to the
: stomacher at a later date.
