    It's thrilling to see all these photos, thanks so much Stig: my guess is that's the same tiara worn by Countesses Jane and Jutta.
    It seems to have drops pendants within arches at its base.
    But I have no idea of the provenance, perhaps from Countess Ruth's family ?

    One thing has always intrigued me : the diamond spikes are not very visible on Countess Karin 's current tiara.
    Could it be possible that HH Pcess Viggo spike tiara had been dismantled into two parts.
    The upper one gave the shape of the tiara above in your post (Prince Axel's branch)
    while the lower part went to Prince Erik's branch (Karin of Rosenborg).
